What have I got ?

Still trying to work out exactly what we have on the Bongo that we bought a couple of weeks ago.
I think the body kit is from Chargespeed.
But what about this grill ?
I was considering trimming out one of the aluminium slats and inserting DRL LED strips - but before I do that, is the grill anything special ?
Here's a more general view of what I think is the Chargespeed rear panel, skirt and arches.

I'm inclined to agree with Dave... even if he is a year older now.
That grille, i believe is also one of chargespeeds more expensive alloy grilles

The same as Rushmons. Great looking bongo by the way

I'm sure a set of DRL's could be fitted BEHIND the grille...less is more and all that.

Thanks all for the info.
Nice to know the grill is uncommon - the paintwork is a bit worn.
I might spray it black and then hand paint the leading edges in silver.
I'll carry on cleaning and polishing for a bit (have discovered detailing clay !)
Will postpone plans for mods and hacking until I've seen some other pimped Bongos.

Can we see some pictures of your rear end as well please?

I like the look of your tail lights and tailgate

I've heard that the George Foreman Grill is very popular!
I would happily replace the jaded grille on my Bongo with one like g4gxl's. Simpler and better looking.
The front appearance needs widening. The factory grille draws the eye downwards, accentuating the Bongo's long face.

I'm getting all excited now
Surely the general body kit is fairly common - it's the one that kept coming up when I did some Googl'ing
I bought the van from my sister - it was imported in this spec via Wheel Quick.
As far as I know they did a service and cam belt but the body and wheels were done by the Japanese owner
Here's a slightly wider view of the front -
and here's the only view I have of my backside for dunslair -

That looks great

I like the 'slitty' rear light clusters

definitely stick with the 'less is more look', but watch those speed bumps and steep drive ins
Thanks for showing us your rear...... very......white.... and err.....pert

You could always use a DLR module to run your headlights solo....so no LED DLR jobbies.....
DLR module would on run the headlights nowt more then when you turn on the parking lights and normal headlights the DLR module switches off.....
