And, they are considering banning the use of speed camera warning devices.
A similar fine of up to 1500Euro if caught.

Speed camera detectors are already illegal in France and have been for many years, even if you haven't got them turned on #-o

GPS ones are currently OK in France.

Its the ones that activate by radar etc that are banned but it looks like they will go as well.

That's right, but GPS ones aren't detectors, just databases.
It should be interesting because, if you do 130kph on the motorways, you feel like you're standing still as everybody flies passed you

Yes, the French plods are definitely getting sneaky.

Hiding and setting up traps on small tripods that can't be seen and then chasing on motorbikes.

Not likely to matter much in Bongo on the motorways but its rural towns and villages that you could easily get caught. Middle of the night as well.

Might not happen after all.

Seems the French are going bonkers about it so no doubt they will start burning things and blockading the ports soon.

At least they will fight about it, unlike us.

If they do what they say they are, it's a bloody good idea IMO to replace the warning signs with interactive speed displays before the cameras, or am I missing something?
