Bongo Fury

Hello All
I have just bought a T reg Bongo with an AVA leisure rear conversion, and very pleased with it too. I am not a very technical type of bloke so plain English please!!!!
The problem I have is that I have just been checking everything and found out that the fridge and water pump for the sink does not work either when it is hooked up or with the leisure battery.However the 240 sockets work when hooked up. On the fusebox (almost impossible to open up) upon pressing the 'Test' button only one trips...the other stays 'On'
Does anyone know
a: How to open the fuse box easily...mine is on the drivers side between the conversion and the sidewall of the van with about 1" gap to work in!! Not a good design as far as I can make out
b:If there is a bongo frindly delay/servicer in the Cambridge region

The "Test" button will almost certainly be associated with the RCD (Residual Current Detector) which will disconnect the incoming supply if there is a difference between the Live and Neutral currents (i.e. some current is leaking to earth via say a person!) the other devices will almost certainly be MCB (Miniature / Magnetic circuit breakers) these protect the wiring in the same way that a fuse does by popping out if there is to much current trying to flow in a given circuit you may have one or two of these depending on what is connected to the mains supply.

You may find that you need to switch the Fridge and Pump on via there own switches, or possibly the fuse from the L/B to the 12 volt switching unit has blown, tell us the type (common types are Zig CFn or PMSnV/H) or show a photo of the switching unit and we may be able to help in more detail.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my conversion by 321 Away. The RCD is in a stupid position and hard to get to. We found we had a problem with the earth which was under the carpet under the kitchen. We replaced the screw which attached the earth to the floor with a nut and bolt and it has been fine since, touch wood.
