Bongo Fury

I`ve recently bought a Bongo,trouble is the car battery keeps going flat could it be I`m not using the zig unit properly?
also I had to open the back door panel to disconnect the rear wiper as I couldn`t switch it off!

Firstly are you thee Mick Brown from Total Fishing with Matt Hayes ?

back wiper issue is most unusual, i could only guess at a faulty switch in the wiper stalk

need more info on the zig you have got, and a little bit more info on how you believe it is all set up, so many variations, does the zig have any switches on it ?

check voltages with a multi meter from your battery's, you probably would be best charging the battery from a mains charger first to get a better result, ignition off around 12v and then with engine running probably somewhere around 14v, this would at least take the alternator out of the issue

could be anything, perhaps the battery has just had enough and given up

No sorry not that Mick Brown, I was told when I bought the Bongo it was a new battery mmmm thanks anyway I`ll get it checked out.

If the zig is wired according to manufacturers instructions then if you have the switch set to 'TOURING' then the batteries will always be connected and will both drain at the same rate.

Red 10amp fuse in the cab box, 2nd row down, 5th from left for Rear wipers & washers, just pull the begger...!

Front wiper/washer should be separate loom system on a 20 amp, 7th along, same row..

I had batteries going flat and eventually tracked it to a faulty relay. Try using a multimeter to see if there is any current flow when everything is of. AT the same time listen for relay click as you connect and disconnect the battery terminals.

I had a problem with both batteries going flat, down to a sticking relay, I think. But I have been unable to trace it. The heater stays on after the key is removed. I now check this every time I switch off.
