Anyone know where we can get front lower wishbone from as ball joint has wear.

I had 2 new ball joints pressed in about 18 months ago, about £40 each they were, failed mot this time on the ball joints again, poor quality and not up to the job, got 2 new full wishbones for £150 each from my local motor factor which were genuine mazda ones.

but ava leisure sell them for about £155 each and I think bongo bits sell them too I wouldn't go down the second hand route thoe

As far as I could tell the bearings where fine, and one even comes with the old wishbone attached (bad swivel joint though).

, but it states bad swivel so sound like its gone or going or seized anyhow so there

if you have a good garage chap just get the ball joints,and get them to press them in for you.
but if your wishbones show signs of rust(inside) get the whole lot if money is no prob.far cheaper in the long run,and safer.

Yep them thar old hubs are mine- I think its the O/S still has the wishbone attached - but this is because I was replacing the hubs and the wishbones together as the swivel wasnt too happy about me bashing the h*ll out of it trying to get it off and making a racket keeping the neighbours awake. I mentioned the wishbone as the taker will need to remove it to get the hub free.

I used AVA new Mazda wishbones both sides - worth the money - I've heard that pressing new joints into old wishbones can distort them.. plus my VERY first drive of my new Bongo was ruined as the garage had pressed a new swivel into an old wishbone - but it wasnt centred and had come loose meaning for some VERY wierd handling (with my 2 little kiddies in the back...). Made it as far as Newbury before I realised what was wrong and refused to drive it any further.. I mention this as a word of caution for using old wishbones with new swivels - its not guaranteed to work and you'll have wasted that ~£40 for the joint alone.

As I said I did that 18 months ago but have excessive play in then again so had the full wishbone replaced this time
