Hi, can anyone tell me if when replacing the fuel filter on a diesel bongo (1995) do you fill up the new filter with fresh diesel before fitting. Thanks.

You dont have to but you'll find your car will stall after 30 secs and take a bit of cranking, usually standard procedure to fill the new filter with injector cleaner so it gives them a pure dose of cleaner, if not then just put some clean diesel in.

Redex, Wynns, STP. doesn't really matter they all do about the same job, just make sure you buy for diesel not petrol
