Have recently had a Webasto Diesel Heater installed in Bongo.
Hope these pictures help anyone who is thinking of putting the same heating system in theirs.

You can wire a basic thermostat in line with these webastos, in series with the switch part of the rheostat controller.
One thing you might want to consider is that when camping, you are more likely to sit outside on the passenger's side, or possibly have a tent there - and it looks like you have your heater exhaust exiting on that side. I routed mine through to be in front of the driver's side front wheel to avoid this area.
Very neat installation though.
Can't beat the look on your neighbours faces when your car keeps itself warm and frost-free overnight!

Ref: Heater exhaust after silencer-I agree that it should be on the other side but the kit only comes with a short pipe - already sourcing a longer pipe.

Funny, we were talking about you on Sunday (me, Roseanne and Dave) as we huddled in my nice toasty Bongo enjoying the warmth of my Webasto!! Money well spent, I say.
Can you let me know if and where you manage to get a longer exhaust, because Dave is absolutely right, the exhaust is in the "wrong" place. Especially if you've got an awning attached and haven't zipped the door into the Bongo up.
Also, is that a swivelly head on your heater outlet? If it is, can you also let me know where you got that from, as mine will doubtless eventually melt the door panel trim on the sliding door!!

I've been the envy of our street of late!! Ours is on a timer so I don't even need to go out in my dressing gown and switch it on

I think the exhaust I got was about 3m long. Took an while to find a decent length of it at a reasonable price. I didn't fit a silencer though.
