Garage required for poorly Bongo!

Post by Welshcav » Tue Nov 23, 2010 12:08 pm

My bongo SGL3 99 V AFT is a bit poorly been told that vacuum valve and internal wastegate gasket requires replacing( flashing glow plug light and reverts to limp mode). I am based in Glasgow any recommendations of a Bongo friendly Garage in Glasgow or surrounding area would be most gratefully received.

Thanks

Unfortunately Gerry at Discount Trucks was telling me how someone paid £250 for a low loaded to bring their Bongo down to him in Newbury from that neck of the woods ... draw from that your own conclusions ...!!

Not quite Glasgow but currently I am using GBL motors of 16 Duff Street Lane Edinburgh EH11 2HS at Dandywarhol's recommendation.

There are quite a few Bongo owners in Glasgow so you could try PM's to Mulshy and Munroman if they don't post here.

if you go down the diy road you'll find this forum a wealth of info.
when i've got the time or inclination i'd go down that road myself although in this
cold snap i'd take it to bill @ campercraft over in fife if i wanted a bongo specialist.
if not i reckon one garage is as dodgy as the next.
all the same but different
