My front heater fan stops working intermittently and then all of a sudden starts again. Does anyone have any ideas what it may be?

I had a similar issue recently, fan would only work on Max - and it wasn't the usual problem of the transistor pack burning out - turned out to be a loose connection on the back of the unit in the dashboard itself.
If you have the non-digital control unit, then it may be one of the contacts inside the resistor pack coming adrift and making intermittent contact - do a search for "Resistor + pack" and you should find lots of advice. There is also a factsheet about how to get it out and repair it.

My fan has begun to not want to start up after a break.
Nothing wrong - fuse OK, connections OK, etc.
But when you start up and turn the fan on - nothing happens.
However if you then take off the front air intake cowling and give the fan a flick, the motor starts up and runs OK until you next turn it off.
Sounds like I need to take it out and give it a clean up and lube.
