Faulty Electric Sliding Door

Just had a lovely month abroad in our Freda, and our sliding door lets us down on a wet Yorkshire campsite.
It opens and closes(almost) manually, but will not operate the last bit electrically. I have followed the Factsheet carefully- checked the fuse; tried disconnecting the battery, tried cleaning the spring loaded contact points on door and B pillar, taken the door panel off and tried cleaning and using WD 40 etc.
However I could not locate the micro-switch which is mentioned.
Also I have checked the spring loaded contacts on the B pillar and there does not seem to be a live current coming through.
Can anyone tell me whether there should be a live reading on the B pillar contacts please?
Also where the micro- switch is?
I would be very grateful for any help please.
I have really appreciated the help given in the past, especially by mikexgough- thanks again.

Are you sure it's got auto close? some don't, how many contacts on the door are there?

Hi,
Thanks for reply. It has got 5 contact points on the door and B Pillar.
It has always closed last bit electrically in the past.
Cheers

In that case have you checked the fuse for the sliding door? no 17 in the fuse box by the drivers right knee, 15a fuse on the bottom (3rd ) row, kinda middle left - all details in the fusebox factsheet in the members area.

Yes have checked the fuse, and followed the fact sheet carefully, as I said, but still no joy!!
