Watermouth Bay 3-5 September *DON'T DELETE*

Post by rooster » Thu Jul 08, 2010 4:29 pm

A small group of us have arranged to go to Watermouth Valley Camping Park near Ilfracombe for a weekend in September – 2 nights booked, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th. If you would like to join us have a look at this hyperlink: http://www.watermouthpark.co.uk. If you ring and speak to Dave or June, or email them on [email protected], tell them you are with Maureen May’s party. Dave will let us use the little clubhouse on the Saturday evening and I will bring my keyboard, so we could have a good knees-up. If you decide to join us, when you have booked would you please post on the forum so I know who is coming. Looking forward to seeing some of you. Mo.

I am so tempted!

Do you know how booked up they are likely to be?

I'll give this one some thought.

Hi Jillygumbo, we'd love to have you along if you can make it. I shouldn't think you need to rush to book for September, schools are just about starting back and it should be quieter, there was plenty of room when we went in September last time. I would like to know who is going because I will ask Dave to keep us the little games room which we used last time, about 10-12 of us I think there were, it rained the whole weekend, we were squelching mud, and we had a really fabulous time - shows what good company can do! Let me know if you book. Mo.

Hi Mo

I've just sent an email to Dave & June at Watermouth Valley asking to be included in your party for the weekend. I'll let you know when I get a response. :D

Bev and Brian, delighted you are going to join us. Bob and I are looking forward to seeing you, and also Jilly, I'm sure you will enjoy the company of our little group (we call ourselves The Wanderers). Just keep everything crossed for decent weather! I will email Dave at Watermouth and ask him for the use of the gamesroom on the Saturday night. Mo

Note that Dave has been having internet problems and not receiving his emails. It may be better to phone! As I did! :D

Just to let you know, I've had an email from Dave this afternoon and everything is ok now, so if you want to book in, you can email him in the first instance. He has confirmed we can have the gamesroom for Saturday evening and I am going to make it an Open House, so anyone on the site can come and join us, and hopefully we will have a really good evening. Dave and Jeanette, welcome to the Wanderers Weekend!

We certainly don't mind an ex-Bongolier, because that's what Bob and I are!! We had our Bongo for four years and had some wonderful times in her but we found we needed more space, for various reasons, so at the beginning of this year we moved on to a Trigano Tribute - so you are certainly quite acceptable! Look forward to meeting you.

That's 8 vehicles, 13 people so far, getting good! Mo
