Scottish thought for the day:
A recent study conducted by Aberdeen University found that the average Scotsman walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study by the Scottish Medical Association found that Scotsmen drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year!!
This means, on average, Scotsmen get about 41 miles to the gallon.
Kind Of Makes You Proud to Be Scottish doesn't it!
Cheers!!

That's for the beer. Now how many miles per gallon do they get out of the spirits?

Stats can be deceptive. Bear in mind those 900 miles are only those covered walking to the pub.
Taxi fares home have not been factored in.

And I don't drink and probably walk more than 900 miles per year, so someone is getting poor mpg!

They are - the veg oil content comes from the deep fried Mars Bar/Pizza/Haggis/Choc Ice/etc.

Excuse me - we call those part of our 5 a day, just like my mate from Sunderland who considers cider=apple juice=fruit=healthy!

That's how I justify Crabbies, ginger - anti inflammatory - good for joints & made with fruit - part of my five a day

As for the studies, I would say I'm above average in one but below in the other....but not in that order.
I also see my "Theres method in the M....rs" as a fruit based drink, and one of my five a day

...the only problem is I try an get a wholes weeks worth in one sitting.
Ginger beer used as a medicinal aid.....nice one.

I too find that after copious amounts of Cider any aches and pains are gone...the only downside is it's replaced by earache from the wife!!!!
