Ireland !

A bit of a long shot I know, but am setting off May17th via the ferry to Dublin.......then turning left......down and round the coast as far as I can. The trip could be cut short if Chip [my dog] decides to go on hunger strike again.......unless I feed him sausages
So........if anyone is considering doing something similar, or making a coastal visit during end May -June then it would be good to meet up !! Am hoping to get round to N. Ireland too then back to Dublin........but I'm Chip dependant here; if he loses weight I'll have to cut the trip short.. :(

Pam,call in at any garage and you will find that they all have a hot snack bar that sells sausages, and also a supermarket style shop where you can buy whitepudding.

If you havent tried whitepudding, they look just like sausages ,and are delicious.I suggest you buy 3 or 4 dozen, and if chip doesnt like them, give him the ordinary sausages from the hot snack counter.Dont throw the whitepuddings away though, bring them home and give them to me to save them going to waste

Sorry about the sunday morning at Silverdale,i wasnt able to come across.I assume Harry passed on my message.

Have a good trip and take care,Ireland is FABULOUS.

Brian

The coast of Ireland is one of the most beautiful places to be on the whole planet. Unfortunately the governing body covering roads does not agree with this so i would allow for about 3 weeks if you want to go round the whole thing.
Say Hi to the Giants Causeway for me. And the view of the sun going down into the sea from Conamara.
Sends lots of piccys of your trip

Thanks DB, as you'll see from other posts, I'm really looking forward to visiting Ireland for the very first time. Have you done this trip then ? I thought it could be 3-4 weeks, but seems as tho' you know ?
The roads cannot be worse than some here in West Yorks; esp around Bradford, where we often lurch from one pot hole to another  Will do my best re the pics.

You've no idea how much I dream of a day when I might set off on a trip like that, free of worries and with funds in pocket. Right now its all worrying about bills, work, arguing teenagers and will they find work (much as I love my family). My escape for now is to type away on here and read other peoples great tales. Have a great trip - I envy you 8)
