Now I appreciate that this won’t be to everybody’s taste – ok, this won’t be to any of your tastes – but it is delicious and enables you to have any audience run away screaming.

 It’s easier if you buy cleaned squid then you don’t have to fiddle about with the quills and those pesky little ink-sacs :-& unless you’ve got a particularly persistent audience in which case the ink-sacs can be put to good use :-#

Image
Squids, olives, anchovies, parsley, breadcrumbs & Parmesan cheese

Image
Chop the tentacles, olives, anchovies & parsley

Image
....mix with the breadcrumbs & Parmesan cheese....

Image
....stuff the squid tubes with the mixture and close them with cocktail sticks.

Image
Heat some oil and zap a garlic clove and some chopped chillies....

Image
....remove the garlic, add the squids and brown them....

Image
....then get a can of quality white wine....

Image
....and add it to the mix....

Image
....boil in the wine for 15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, don’t waste any of that stuffing you didn’t use, zap that in some oil in another pan....

Image
....then add it to some cous cous.

Image
Voila. Stuffed squids & cous cous. Hmmm, rubbery Image

That looks delicious, I love squid, I'm not much of a cook though, don't enjoy all that fiddling around. Do you want to come and live with me?

Debs

Splendid! Looks delicious but I suspect I would probably wreck it. I'm not that clever with squid

Brilliant =D> =D>

I just can't stomach the idea of eating squid =; I've eaten it before many years ago, but when I realised "Calamares" was actually squid ( I think it was when I was about to put a tentacle in my mouth :-& ) that was it [-X

Oh, I always cook with wine, I'm allegedly always seen with one of those self-filling wine glasses. Except at lunchtime on a Friday when I'm supposed to do some 'work' afterwards

Most of the things I do are actually quite easy, you'd be surprised if you have a go, I was

If you're at Stourport I will be cooking some squids, plus a whole host of other unmentionable former sealife
