a hover skirt - that would be a vision worth seeing
I'm bringing a kite no need to row just tie it to the dinghy and hope the wind is blowing in the right direction.

   just looked at the forecast -its back to the drawing board i'm afraid.-

with an 8.1 meter tide perhaps we could just surf back in on the bore i even found instructions
http://www.cameron-site.co.uk/nwsk/main ... e_bore.htm. you and i and would be fine but as we all know men dont read instructions so a bit of a setback in the planning there though.

Bad news Karen

It is a cross bay WALK.

If Moses can do it so can we.

The River Kent channel was passable on Sunday. It wasn't deep but was quite
wide (about half a mile) so be prepared to wade for quite a distance.

A walking pole would be quite useful. I'll try to have a couple of spares available.

Don't tell me that we are going to be walking with religious freaks Harry. Well it should make things easier for us if we have someone with us who can part the waters. :D

Hope you enjoy your Birthday weekend Jeskier, I am sure you will !

Yes to caravans with awnings, tis a large field so lets make the most of it.

I don't know about a walking stick, probably a swimming ring and water wings are the order of the day ..

Sommat else I need to say.... The hook up points we have are 4 plugs on one post so depending on how far apart you need to be longer hook up cables may be required.

I've got one of the longer cables. Looks loke we will have to play musical cables if one of the latter arrivals arrives with a short cable. :?

Walking Sticks give you a third leg and help you to keep your balance if the current is strong. I've crossed a fast flowing river in the Cairngorms this way using a cut down branch from a tree in my case. I would recommend a walking stick for crossing the channel as Harry advises especially if your balance is normaly not too good.

Oh! and I can bring an inflaitable life jacket just in case. :D

I once did a cannyoning event (management claptrap course) the person behind me sang onward christian soldiers throughout - very reassuring -not.

as for the pole there is one working up at the farm (quite dishy) i,d love to bring him but it may be a bit short notice he's probably working this wekend.

as things stand at the moment with a couple of minor crisises with injurys, child care, and dog sitter ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) (you dont want to know) it may be later than planned when we get there on friday - about 8-9pm if things resolve it will be mid afternoon.

Probablly get there about mid afternoon on Friday. June is down in Blackburn visiting her family at the moment while I am looking after the cat. Have to wait until June comes home on Thursday before I can leave. Loading up the bongo right now.

Oh! And Buddy is comming to my place within an hour to collect Bob's mattress. Going to be a bit more room in the Bongo now and Blobber and Bongocowboy can relax. Now I won't needing to pressgang them into relaying the mattress down to Northwich.
