Which radiator?

Our radiator is seeping from the top left corner. Not too bad at the moment but am going to buy a replacement.

I can get fitted at my local garage for £60.00 plus vat. The garage said that a pattern radiator is no different to a genuine one as made of the same stuff and has same warranty.

I have found one on ebay for £105.00, a lot cheaper than buying a genuine Mazda one.

Has anyone else used one like this before?

Is it the one with the pipe coming from the rad cap to allow blow of when the rad cap lifts? If so you need to make sure that pipe is blocked off, it doesn't need that pressure relief as that is done at the expansion tank, you'll just end up with it losing coolant. There's a recent thread on it if you have quick search.

we've fitted lots of customer supplied rads from fleabay and in general never have a problem, in fact some of the pattern units have been of all metal construction and imo superior to the factory units, as mentioned make sure you dont have the bleed/breather on the cap on the rad and your onto a winner, post the link for the rad on the forum and i'm sure someone will be able to take a peek to ensure its the right type.

There's also been a recent post from a person who should be listened to that not all radiators are the same and some of the cheapos have a poor flow rate which can lead to overheating........... :?
