Bongo Fury

Bongo has just come back from a service, whilst Kirk was there, it started quite a few times without any issues.

We have come to get it started this morning and it just clicking away..now we have flattened the battery

Is it worth while taking out the starter motor and cleaning the connectors?

problem is that neither of us are very technically minded and we are really struggling as we need it tomorrow to take a couple of Lancashire County Darts players to fleet wood for a tournament..

Anyone?

if its just clicking sounds like the solonoid pack has give in
i would phone mike at wheelquick in wigan and see if he can help

STARTERS EASY TO REMOVE

problem is chances are there is nothing to clean

as the contact on the incoming side errodes away

Agreed, you can on some tap them with a rubber mallet to get it going when your in a fix, but it's not a cure. Well depends on your mood I suppose,

I assume a flat battery (or battery terminals not connected and tightened up properly) are not the CAUSE of the problem. Starter motor just clicking can be just lack of juice getting to it. Best to be certain before looking at the starter motor itself.
