Do I need to fit a leisure battery and hook up point to my van for camping,if so what is the BEST way of doing so.My van is unconverted at this moment but may want to fit small fridge and tv in future. We plan to use it in conjunction with a 2 berth awning so may need electrics for this to. Any ideas or help welcome.

Frequent discussions on this take a look at
this thread, but a search on
"electric hookup" will find plenty of other threads and discussions.
Oh and Leisure battery is the same many discussions, most go for a
Willinton kit as its well put together, that link is for one already sold but email the guy on ebay and tell him what you have and want and he will put a kit together for you, he does the trays as well I think.

Graham..... might be an idea to get along to a weekend/day meet to see what other owners have done/share their set ups with you so you can make an informed choice....rather than to jump in.
I agree with the others as to the Willinton kit...... top notch and easy to fit..... as for Hook up and awnings.... visit a few meets.....
If you look in the "Fancy meeting up section" then I am sure you will see somewhere to visit..... and also if you add your location area to your profile someone might let you see what set up they use too

Simple answer is no you don't need either, just depends what comforts you want & what you use the bongo for.
There are so many different ideas & variations on what people use, as already said, have a good trawl around the forum, especially "converting" section, get along to some meets, go & be nosy with other people's bongos. I've had mine nearly 3 years, tried several different ideas for what works for me, hopefully the next incarnation will be getting started soon.
I'd say don't rush into anything & do your research.
