Bongo Fury

Hello to you all
Have just installed some parking sensors but the main unit is not receiving power.
I have wired it in to a reverse light bulb with the red wire (from the unit) connected to the red & yellow wire which goes to the middle of the bulb and the black wire (from the unit) to the black wire which goes to the outer edge of the bulb.
I used snap on connectors to join the wires.
The bulb lights up when reverse is selected.
Anyone got any suggestions? Not rude ones I hope!

Hi, I would try block connectors as the snap connectors arn't that reliable on making a good contact.

Just to add to the above post,I have tried connecting power directly to the unit and it works OK!

In that case, take the power to the unit from a relay switched from the reverse light??

Took mine from the reverse light wire. I would say you either have the wrong wire or the scotch lock connector wasn't home on the wire

I had the right wires but must have been a dodgey connection.
It's all working OK now,thanks for the tips!

That's the trouble with those Mickey Mouse connectors
