cold start revs !etc

Bongo presently stays at the same idle speed cold and hot from memory around 850rpm.
Found the actuator and it activates from cold. Leading me to beleive that all i have to do is undo lock nut on throttle stopper and increase revs.
So question is what are ur cold start rpms in park ?
And roughly how long before it resets back to normal/hot rpm ?

Can't say I've ever noticed any difference in the revs when hot or cold - perhaps I should pay more attention

on my new diesel pump...... 850/900 rpm for around a minute then down to around 600 rpm until warmed (currently around 2-3 miles in the cold weather) when it's approx 750 rpm......

Mine normally idles/ticks over at 750..?
Are you talking about an automatic choke like on the petrol's?

Around 850 on startup, drops to 750. The same actuator operates when you flick on the a/c - are you sure its working ok?

Chances are the vacuum solenoid (s) are stuffed, it's the two under the drivers seat mounted on the side of the engine at the forward end. My a/c one's stopped working again

With the seat up from cold ,can see the cold start actuator moving. And then dropping after a short period of time.
Am aware of the solenoids on top of the glow plug rail ,but it looks like theres x2 1 for aircon 1 for cold start.
Revs dont rise from cold or with aircon on ,so could just need adjusting as the actuator is moving .
So how long do ur revs rise for from cold in park ?anyone
All of the above on a diesel

just picked back up on this... Yer right it do cold start up about 850! drops back to the 750 by the time i cleared the snow off all the glass though...!
Does an AC solenoid account for the apparent slight loss of power to the engine when activated? This doesn't seem to happen with the Bongo, but i have noticed it on the two Micras my partner owned/owns.. (models K11C & K12 respectively.)

Fast idle time will depend on the temperature - above freezing seems to be about a minute...........
The solenoid will actuate the fast idle immediately the a/c is switched on - lightly rest your foot on the throttle, swith on the a/c and you'll feel the pedal drop a few mm
