Bongo Fury

The horn on my Bongo never worked since I got it, when back at the garage where I bought it they repaired it saying it was a fuse that had gone. Since then my tail lights, brake lights keep blowing out. Can anyone give me any ideas as to why fuses keep going please.

Its been known for cheap bulbs to keep blowing in rear clusters before now, it might be worth spending on a known make to rule that out.
If a fuse keeps blowing then its more likely to be a chaffing wiring loom, take the clusters out and check that the rubber grommets are OK and that they haven't worn thru.
The exact fuse location can vary between models on the Bongo, you don't say what version (year, month and type to be certain).

Do you have the electric hook up for a tow bar fitted per chance...?

(Though this will have nothing to do with why the horn fuse failed, but may help with the lights.!)

Thanks for the info, no the lights are fine there is a problem with the fuses, might try to take out fuse for horn as lights were working fine up until the horn was repaired.

Just spoke to the wife who is away with the van at the moment, its only the rear side lights that are u/s so maby when she retried the replacement fuses the bulbs may well have blown, cheers Mac.

Tried the removing the horn fuse did not work!

Ah sorry I thought you meant that the rear bulbs were blowing.
If they are just going out, it could be an earth connection, are all the lights on one side going out or just some of them in which case which ones!
Have you found any blown fuses at all ?
Sounds like you might be diagnosing from a distance as well which never makes it any easier
