Thinking of 2010 already... .. anyone up for a follow up Rutland Water day meet.... February 21st 2010.....

After last years brilliant meet organised by Manda of Bulwell Bongoliers... =D> =D> =D>

I thought it might be good for a Rutland revisited 2010 on the same weekend as last year, lets be honest it is far enough away from Christmas, the days are getting longer and it is a good time to blow away the cob webs before the Camping weekends start....

So.....who is up for it..... time to open the new diaries and add some events.... :D :D ..... and lets hope the weather is as good as this years meet.....

We'll be with you in spirit from 12,000 miles away as we'll be just coming to the end of our exchange with Simon and Kerrie and get home the next weekend.

But instead of the rather formal car park used last time have you thought of using the far nicer/wilder one just to the east? We looked in on it after the last meet and thought how much larger, more open and rustic it was - far easier to all park up together without other non-Bongo folk walking in and out - much nicer for walking dogs etc. as well.
Duke and Gus, the Boxers, definitely preferred it.

We will be it the Whitwell Car Park like last year by request.........Whitwell Car Park
for Sat Navs.......... LE15 8BL

Amenities at Whitwell include a cycle hire centre, public toilets, and refreshments.
Like all the Rutland Water car parks, there are picnic tables here, and good views over the reservoir, this is one of the most popular sections of the route for walkers.
