As far as we can tell the 2.0 litre thermostat is unique to the Bongo. We have some on order from Japan and these will be available via the Bongo Shop in January.

Hi,
No the 2.0 thermostat is not the same at all.
I bought one for my V6 and although it looked the same, they had supplied the wrong one.
If you get one, and double check that you need one beforehand, get one from the Bongoshop, firstly because they will supply the right one, plus in my case it was a genuine one (the pattern one I bought first was very light by comparison) and then the price and delivery time is very good.
Not worth having the hassle of a full coolant change and bleed to find out the thermostat is wrong !! I learned the hard way on that one.
Hope this helps.
Andy

I use BongoShop for all my 2.0l spares, you can be sure your getting the right part. One good thing on the 2.0 is that bleeding is a lot easier to do than the oil-burners (or dare I say it - the V6'ers). The bleed pipe is connected from the thermostat housing directly to the top of the expansion tank, making coolant change easy........ I still use the oil-burners method of engine revs/time but you don't need to hold up any hot bleed pipes.
