I didnt get any instructions with my blanking plates.
So can someone please just confirm where I should insert them.

Using this diagram:

I presume I should replace the 2 plates both named 20-305A with the blanking plates and not the 20-306A , Correct ?

Replace 306A with one plate, and the furthest right 305A, below the EGR, with the other. The other 305A you can't remove without pulling the 310B pipe out to clear the studs.

Removing the bolts for the plate under the EGR is a bit tight, and the plastic piping in the area is fragile, so go carefully.

I managed it all from the driver's seat area. Once I'd finished, I did consider that the job might have been easier if I'd removed the panel on the back of the engine cover at the time.

I smeared a bit of blue hylomar on the blanking plates both sides. Not sure if you really need it, but the blanks are not gaskets so don't compress. Can't see it causing any problems, and might help the sealing.

Thanks everyone.
Just to say that detailed instructions with excellent pics arrived today from Allans Vehicle Services today - from where I obtained the EGR plates. Just in case anyone thought I was moaning about the service, which I am not.
