Bongo Fury

Have just discovered something I did not know about my Bongo.

On the models with the climate control, press and hold the rear heater switch button for couple of seconds (on the dash control not the rear heater control panel).

The screen changes and you can now change the mode of the rear heater and control the rear heater blower speed.

Press the button once more and the panel changes back to normal operation for the front heater.

Is that news to anyone else?

nope, it actually tells you in the small glove box manual thingy

So it does Just been out and tried it.
On mine, when the system goes into 'rear adjustment' mode, the display flashes, and, if you don't make any adjustment after sy 15 seconds, the control (and screen) revert back to 'front adjustment' mode.

Now, where is the missile launching button..............

To be honest when I first bought my other bongo I actually figured out how to do it as the heaters would only work on number 4 (turned out the resistor was fubar) but trying to figure out how to get all the setting working i figured out how to controll the rear heater .

Bought the manual from ebay for £18 thinking it was a technical manual but alas it was just to tell you what the buttons were for, servicing and model numbers ect ect but it tells you in the manual anyhow .

Same here, kids have now learnt not to fiddle with the heater or the blinds !!!

They have a new name for me:

So, how have you trained them not to use their toes to mess with the blinds when their arms have been thus disabled? NB He's not allowed to wear shoes when travelling because if he's going to mess with the controls, I'd rather he had bare feet.

I've tried turning round and shouting, I've also tried turning round and going home Kirsty's suggestion will be next - she always comes up with good ideas

Jumping into this thread (I had incedently worked out how to control the rear heater from the front ), I don't 'get' the AUTO button on the digital climate control. My definition of AUTO is that you press the button and it AUTOmatically works out all the temperatures with the various sensors dotted about, but then as the journey goes on it AUTOmatically adjusts to accomodate the changing temperature. When I press the AUTO button, say for the aircon, it blasts out the cold air full blast, but I would expect it to decrease over time when the inside temp becomes acceptable. Am I completely wrong on the way the AUTO works, or are my journeys in hot weather just too short? How does it cope with cold weather/hot air?

Either you're not giving it long enough to reach the desired temp, the sensors are being hindered in some way, or it's just not working Mine adapts flow & temp automatically.
