Having spent a biit of time with the love of my life this afternoon i have noticed that her rear wheel arches are showing signs of ageing.

This little tip might extend the life of your wheel arches all for the price of a small spray tin of waxoyl.

Wash the inside of the rear wheel arches and rinse off, allow to dry and spray the waxoyl around the inside of the wheel arch. Protect your eyes with goggles in case you overspray and cover the wheel with a cloth or paper to protect it from over spray as well.

I reckon this will keep the rust bug away for a bit longer. Hopefully!

Even better take the door pockets out on the rear panels inside & squirt some thinned down waxoyl in along the gap between wheelarch & body so it gets it from inside too, as advised on here by numerous peeps in the past

Sorry to hear that the old rust bug has started to creep up on ya samuel... In addition to a corrosion inhibitor in the waxoil, is a chemical that turns light rust into a neutral material (like genolite/kurust does), so hopefully it'll do the trick if the oxidisation hasn't got TOO deep a hold.

Thanks BDC. I'm trying to avoid replacing the wings. They're not that bad at the moment but a winter with salt will rapidly change that. I am sure.
