Well Ollie and I ended up in Rutland camping and caravan park. Nice place but not much to do. Been watching Harrier Jump Jets taking off and landing at the nearby airstrip.

You can even host your own Meet, just say where you fancy and Bongos will show up.

as Bob says, name a place and date and soon you'll be making new friends and meeting old friends. That's what I do, as i'm sure that's what others like peeps such as Dabs up north does. Mind you it's best to give peeps a few weeks notice

Cheers MM will do sometime. We are on the nene valley railway at the moment. Weather is pretty pants. May stay somewhere nearby. Any suggestions? Nearest town is Peterborough.

Check out around Rutland Water, a few miles up toward Stamford. Surprisingly pretty part of the world. There are some campsites around there or a few good old fashioned pubs that do a great B&B in & around Oakham . . . .

Weather was pretty pants down here too. It was a good test though. First time sleeping downstairs and the first outing for the caravanstore awning too. Note to self; Don't forget the tiedowns next time. Wind wasa a bit much last night and with all my gear outside so we could sleep inside, i had to keep the awning up. eventually went out and put the legs inside a collapsed camp chair on its side and put some heavy impliments on top of the chairs. Did the trick. Sleeping inside was comfy too, had an airbed blown up and a quilt under us. A heater going in between the seats so we were quite snug. Can't wait to go out again. See ya'all soon.

Well done for getting out and camping. Should do more myself!
Yup, defo. get strong tie down straps and stakes if you decide to keep a caravanstore up in any kind of widy weather. Can get expensive otherwsie if it lets do, flips back over the Bongo and starts whacking the body work before it wrecks itself
I made myself straps etc. really cheap using £1 box B&Q luggage tiedown webbing straps and a couple of corkscrew type doggie stakes I got off ebay (or use serious army steel stakes like Muzorewa usually has with him)
