Bongo Fury

I'm looking at replacement tyres, and all I can seem to find are Pirelli P7's in the right size and load rating. 215/55/17/96 is what I'm after (came with 17" alloys on)

Anyone used P7's - opinions good or bad?

Anyone found alternative tyres that size?

Might have to go with what I can get, as I live 'oop north'

Try accelera's, are you changing them all?

I need to change one, due to a bulge in the sidewall, but they are all about 75% worn, and I'm concious of the fact that I might put undue strain on the VC if I just do one or 2, so I'll probably bite the bullet and do the lot. Going to be expensive.....

I have 4 x Pirelli P7s on mine (17/215/55/ 99W from memory) and they have been superb IMHO, except for the cost, which makes my eyes water with pain

They seem good in the dry, good in the wet, not noisy, MPG is good, and they seem to be wearing well also. Buy with confidence I reckon.

Have you checked ebay to see if anyone is selling the odd single tyre? Might be worth a peek in case

Also, you probably want 4 xP7 to get the benefit of them (and which of us is about to fork out for those!) so I'd put price high up the list and tyre perfection further down (though not irrelevant). But I certainly love my P7s - they are superb.

That would be me then! Found P7 XL 215/55/96W/17 for £129 fitted. Getting 4 tomorrow.

I hope to goodness I've steered you right. Seriously thought, price apart, I've little doubt you will be very pleased indeed with them.

Good year GT2 three years ago done 30K miles. Lots of tread left.

Wow - thats lotsa miles! Not sure my P7s will go that far, but they are looking v. good after 10k miles and they area quality ride
