Bongo Fury

I am determined to sort out my rear nearside speaker once and for all, lol, (when I can) it is there but has no sound, does anyonw know which way the wires run from the speaker, is it across the floor to the drivers side or do they go under the carpet on the passenger side. Is there a fact sheet on it, lol. Thanks all in advance.

Not all bongo's have rear speakers, mine didn't, and had to fit some myself with the help of bigdaddy.
might be worth looking under the carpet to see if they have been fitted after it arrived in the UK and the wires may just be handy.

You might find the missing one under the centre console near the handbrake.

The only way to find out if you have the wires is to pop off the rear panel. Probably easier to take off the n/s panel as the o/s requires the front panel to come off as well. If it is wired for speakers (most are) then just towards the lower part of the speaker grill area there will be a short 2" tag of wire with a 2 pin female socket (white) on the end. This will plug onto standard bongo speakers, but if no speakers exist then you can make a short extension lead with male spade connectors at the socket end and females at the speaker end.
If you dont have the speaker cages then I usually have a couple spare, but no speakers sorry.

As Ed jus said... The wiring was already there on mine, in with the loom on both sides!! But not the speakers, or even the brackets..
I made an MDF plate for mine!

The speaker is there and the offside works fine, it is just the nearside is cream crackered, I have managed to loosen and pull forward the panel, I cannot see how the hell it comes off with the seats in place, lol, I have tried connecting a new speaker but still no sound soooo, I assume it must be the wires, hence my question regarding the way they run, I know I am gonna have to strip the car out soon because of the battery damage to the poor old carpet but with my back injury really playing me up at the mo I am not looking forward to it, I will probably see then where they go but any advance info is worth a lot.lol.

Re. previous post - have you looked under the centre console - that's where I found the live rear speaker connecting plug on mine. My nearside speaker worked fine but no wire to the offside - the cable stopped under the console.
