Left Hand Indicator Not Working

The indicator is working for signalling right, but not for signalling left. The bulbs are fine but the relay switch is just making very fast clicking sounds and none of the bulbs, including the one in the dashboard is working. Also, the emergency switch only lights the right hand bulbs. Is there anything straightforward that can be done to fix this? The wiring under the steering wheel is a bit confusing for me.
