New Glowplugs, Fresh start

Just had bongo in for first real mechanical thing after purchasing a few months ago. Never read too much of the forums about it, just put it into the garage after some starting issues when in Europe.

New glowplugs, starts like new….. not a very meaningful message but it was just good to treat it like a normal vehicle now and again and not read the forums, think doom and gloom and that the bongo was going to self combust. :D

Great news that the problem was only the plugs.......I've replaced mine twice, but it was my fault for buying cheapies in the first place.

The problem with "Techie Stuff" section is that it all sounds like doom and gloom, as most post are when something goes wrong, the VAST majority of the time we will hear nothing from the masses in this section, as nowts wrong.

Suppose it's the same with all car forums.

Positive news indeed,

I have recently fitted some new plugs and the difference has been great. I have also replaced the solenoid contacts and front drop links/anti roll bar bushes so the Bongo starts perfectly and the drummer has been banished from under the front wheels

Here's to a happy Bongo =D>

Forgot to say, my tip for Glowplugs is to use NGK's, theres not much in difference for Price, and they are more than likely to last much longer.

(I got the tip from Dandywarhol years ago.)
