thanks for the link Kirsty. Impressive stuff! I've forwarded the link to my son as he may well be interested and if he's interested, I may be able to tag along

Or he may just go without me!

Jon went to the Relentless Boardmasters event in Newquay at the beginning of August so knows this sort of thing is "cool"

I just think it's impressive! =D>

Chris & Gem

We will be here

http://www.haven.com/parks/kent_sussex_ ... ey%20haven

They only have a few Touring pitches, top left of the site on google earth should be easy to find.

Alternativly if we can park in the main car park on the main beach Friday and Sat early, ensconsed with cream teas and coffee.

regards Mr P

Back from Windfest today. Had a glorious day out with son and his friend. I didn't even have to drive :)

The free festival is well worth the visit, although the parking is expensive! £8.20 for more than 4 hours, which of course we needed!

Saw 3 bongos in the car park. N395RDL - spoke to lady in charge as she was parked right behind us. N45END and N512CCF too. Anyone from here?

£8.20 is abit steep but cheaper than Lego Land

We were the "M" reg Black bongo by the main buildings If we had thought we would have got the yellow plumage out.

Must admit didn't see you! Yep, have to admit it! Maybe you should have got the plumage out :)

We weren't in the bongo though, as I persuaded my son to drive - oh heaven - being driven for a change!

Just A quick report on Rockley park where we stayed

Euro pitches, Tarmac and Gravel, Hook up and waste £21.00 a night.

Entertainment up to the usual Haven standard, Nearby beach OK generally friendly.

Windfest -

Well parking £8.20 a day advised to get there early so we had breakfast there at 08:15 to get our money's worth :D
Beach excellent, all the sports were there, bikes, boards, boats, power boats, Kite boarding and Windsurfing. only problem was the windsurfing that happened was so far out to see anyone could have won.

Ben ensures crowd control at the bike show.

Le mans boat start

Poole Harbour

A nice view (If you can get it on the Haven Site)

Went to look round the expensive housing and no offence to anyone if you live there, but it seemed very busy on the roads, and for a couple of million I would not like the queues of traffic by my house....

a good couple of days and worth a visit.

we watched the last BMX show on friday and the first bmx show on sat about 10ish i think, which is when we took the photo.

Ben lost interest in the bikes once he discovered the sea in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day chasing the tide in and out.
