Don't need a backbox necessarily, just put a piece of flexi on it & have it as a striaght through.

Franco

send me a pm with your mobile number,

I might be in Fareham late afternoon/ early evening

You can run a bongo with a straight through pipe at the end instead of a backbox

I would reccommend going for a full stainless steel system after you get home, (no more worries about exhausts failing MoT's)

I can also recommend United Automotive from eBay. My back box took a little while to reach me as they were out of stock, but they kept me well informed and it was sent exactly when they said it would be. I subsequently ordered a mid box from them, they had it in stock and it arrived less than 24 hours after I placed the order. Each box cost me a little over £60 delivered. =D>

My local Kwik Fit sorted me out with a Ford Connect tailpipe (no box involved).

It is the correct fit over the tidied up remains, assuming that yours has broken just where it enters the rear box.

The bends are in the right places. All it needs is slight modification to the hanging spigots at the rear and a few inches chopped off the back so it doesn't stick out too far.

I tidied mine up with a stainless end trim from Lidl. I also put in an extra hanger where the U bolt securing the new joint is using 10 guage stainless wire and a standard rubber link.

It caused no concern at the MOT test.

If anyone knows a better substitute please let us and Kwik Fit know.

Cost? Piccies?

About £30, approx15 months ago.

Not got my act together on piccies yet and running out of time before I go and wave at Widdowson.
Description will have to suffice!
