Fitted mine today and even on a run up the A1M it went only to 12:30.......strange at first but at least it reads okay now

It's a very vague way to describe the needle movement, referring to the clock, as different people could read it differently. In relation to the needle being vertical & the white mark at the end of the scale where is it? ie halfway across, 3/4 of the way across?

It would suggest to me that the one that sits at 12.30 has a good clean cooling system and the one that sits at 2.30 (thats what the China man said to the dentist) has a dirty/clogged cooling systen or a lazy thermostat.
2.30....get it ??

maybe I should have added "needle" to my reply.......and the needle is just past the vertical which on a clock face view would equate to 12:30........

Mine sits about 1.30 to 2. ish and rises sometimes to near the red line when i push the accelerator a bit too much, or if i am dragging the caravan up and down hills.

I was on a fast run up the A1M (over speed limit)

...... (to try the gauge out) and only went to 12:30 on the clock face, it went higher to around 1:00 in town in traffic after the run.....
