Bongo Fury

i have a bongo 1997 friendee

can anyone advise what oil i shd use ??i chked mine today, when i eventually found it and it was very dark in colour, is that normal. clearly i know nothing about engines but simple things like that spook me.

welcome. Oil in a diesel will discolour very quick but if in doubt change it and the fillter

Oil should be changed every 3000 miles or 6 months (whichever comes soonest) according to the handbook, but I'm sure there's some leeway with this with more modern oils. The filter should be changed every 6000 miles or 12months.

There is no definitive answer on oils - I use a semi synthetic 5w30, others use a 10w 30, 10w 40 or even a 15w 40 I believe.
