Bongo Fury

Changed glowplugs and in process had to shorten breather pipes to fuel pump. No kinks in pipe and runs well when cold but as soon as it warms up it doesn't pull as well as it should.
It might or might not be the pipes.
Has anybody any ideas? Thanks.
