Go-Ape

Thinking of trying to get a meet together at one of the Go-Ape sites in the NorthWest.
Need to get an idea of how many Gorillas (over 18yrs) and Baboons (10-17yrs) might be interested.

If you don't know about Go-Ape have a look at their website HERE

A couple of options at the moment depending on the amount of interest shown.

1) A day meet at the Rivington (Bolton) site sometime late August
2) A trip out on the Saturday of Harry's Silverdale meet at the Grizedale site

Costs are £25 for over 18's and £20 for 10-17yrs.
There are some restrictions to be aware of i.e. minimum age 10yrs, minimum height etc

Please post here if you are interested and I will start to get something organised.

Woo Hoo Great response thanks everyone. Reckon 18 people so far.

I think the Saturday afternoon of the Silverdale meet would be the best.
We would have to split into 2 groups to go round the course. Probably aim for the 1pm
and 1.30pm slots.

I will speak to the site soon and start to make some arangement.

Thanks Pete

Have spoken to Go-Ape and it would appear that unless you are a school/student or registered charity they don't do discounts.

To reserve places online or over the phone they want the full payment up front
As there is no way I can afford £400+ to get all the places booked I see 2 options.

1) We agree on a session time/date and book as individuals on the website.
Risk of being split into separate groups or having strangers in amongst us.

2) Send payment to me and I'll book when we have the numbers confirmed.
Risk of this taking some time and not being able to get the date we want.

At the moment the whole of the Silverdale weekend is free with first session at 8.30am (yeah right!) and last at 3.30pm (climbing in the dark!).

What does everyone think?

I think option 2 collect the money at Harry's Allithwaite Do! (if your going to be there) and book as a group with the option for latecomers to book themselves would be best.
