Hi to all and thanks for looking.... the story so far...! Xmas time the top of rad popped / split, so i fitted a new rad, on running up i found it smoking bad chucking water out ...
we all know the symptoms..

Time for a new head gasket so i wipped the head off, and had it tested ! IT FAILED

So i ordered a brand new complete head, stat new head bolts and water pump, I had a full gasket set but i did not like the head gasket fit ? but like an idiot i still fitted it,Well its still pressuring the the water VERY VERY slightly, so this morning i have took it off again ( took 2 hrs is that good or bad ?)
first thing i need to ask where do you get a genuine head gasket ??? every one just laughs

when i ring up, and
has anyone the spec for the stretch bolts measurement, as they have only been on 3 days and they might be in spec thanks everyone and thanks for reading Richard

I think you should be able to get a gasket from a Mazda dealer - you'll probably have to wait for it from Japan though (haven't Bongobits got any?)
Not worth the risk with the head bolts - they're designed to be "use once" only.

Hi John thanks for reply .....I did ring two mazda main dealers and they said oooh arr !!! its an import sorry, but bugger off and get one from where you got the van, attitude

! as regarding the bolts there is a figure for the length whitch i would like just to check the spec ...to be honest, i have spent a small fortune on this van in the last few months, so i suppose a few more quid aint going to break the bank ....best of all its going on ebay when its right, as i am having a company car,

Are you sure it's the gasket , have you checked the engine block? I had a similar problem with mine new head but still had air getting into the cooling system, there was a crack in the block and a core plug had gone.
