Bongo Fury

Ok so i started using my air con again and when pushing the air knob from fresh to recycle i firstly found it stiff and secondly after a few moments it crept towards fresh again.
Anyone got a reason or solution for this?

The cable's probably stiff through lack of use and the cable has come off the retaining clip. You'll ned to look behind the dash and trace the cable from the control switch - or there might be a metal clip on the carpet.
