Possible starter motor problem ?

Hmm, right then peeps, your expert advice sought, lol, now and again the bongo will not start, nothing but a click, now I think this could be starter motor problems but any ideas would be appreciated, if it is starter motor has anyone done theirs, I am sure a while ago there was something on parts, i.e brushes ordered for it, just wondering how much and are they freely available. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the starter motor, half hour job, parts are listed on compatible parts list at the top of the techie section, get the full kit with the contacts & plunger for £20ish or get in touch with You've Been Bongoed, he's got a refurbed starter motor available.
Theres a video of it being done too, I'll try & find the link, search on here should reveal it :wink:

Thanks for that just ordered the bits, gone up a bit since 2007 tho,lol, now £29.00 delivered, but still not bad.

Yep he said plunger and all parts needed, funny thing was when he answered the phone and I said that I thought my starter motor was a bit dickie he said, " ah you have a bongo do you" how weird is that eh.
