Parts from Japan

I was a past Bongo owner and was frustrated then to not be able to buy parts from Japan. Since I sold the Bongo, I have bought a wee Honda Beat and I am "restoring" it. Japanese Yahoo is an excellent source of parts, similar to Ebay, it is an auction site. I have found scarce parts and also through the Beat forum I have found a useful contact who will bid, accept and post items on your behalf to UK. There are some sites that do this but they tend to be expensive and impersonal. I have just started using http://jessestreeter.com/ and he comes recommended by others on the Beat Forum and may be useful to you chaps. I understand he is an Australian who lives in Japan.

Best way to do it seems to be to make a wants list and ask the agent to assemble one shipping lot which saves money. Means you get all the goodies at once ;-)

Great to hear from you Tom, and a very good tip. It would be worth applying a little organisation (as you imply) to putting together want lists form members so the buyer can grab stuff as it comes along.

Hmmmm - now what bits am I after

Mike good to hear from you too. I am not on the forum much at all nowadays but still miss the Bongo and the Bongo bunch. I thought the link might be useful - hence the post.
