I have a Caravanstore, and it is a rolled up awning in a long thin zip up bag. The edge of the bag away from the zip has a beading on it that is designed to be slipped into an aluminium 'C' channel. Is yours the same? If so I would imagine the fist thing you'd need is a length of aluminium 'C' channel (from Caravanning supplies ship I would guess), and suitable screws (they must not protrude into the C-channel slot orthey will foul the beading when you try to slide the caravanstore bag onto it - the shop should be able to advise on and/or supply the right type). And you'll need something firm backing piece for the C-channel to mount on.
I have an AFT and so made a carrier out of square section PVC downpipe onto which I screwed the C-channel (I gave the pipe an angled front and I used some timber to screw through into as the purchase on the PVC would have been inadequate). In my case I was then able to mount that on the AFT using the M4 bolt holes on it. But you would need suitable brackets - maybe someone else could advise on all these and other aspects of design. I can if I want pull out the caravanstore bag and guide it instead onto a length of figure-8 on my rain gutter (I can then raise my AFT roof). It is not safe however to try and transport the Caravanstore bag on the figure-8s, in my view (actually I suspect you'd get away with it esp. with secondary safety straps but in any case the bag fouls the doors when you try to open them so not really workeable unless your straps hold it up out the way).

I have a caravanstore, as Mikes. I also have an Aft. Because you have a tintop, you will probably need the raised brackets or awning rail, as Mikes.
Mike, My Caravanstore I have not as yet used as I didn't fancy carrying it around in the bongo. Your idea with the plastic pipe sounds really good. Do you store the awning in the pipe ? You don't happen to have a photo do you ???

Please.

I have an AFT but mine is mounted to the van, not the roof. My brackets were made by Stan at Caravan Supplies and hold the caravanstore clear of the doors where it stays at all times.

My Caravanstore is fixed to my Aft using this rail available from Caravan Supplies. I believe that mobilecat has one too. a warning must be given that they are rather pricey for what they do and the rail and caravanstore together are not much cheaper than a wind out awning.

Yes thats the one!! Mine has red painted ends though to match Dydo.
It doesn't work out cheap but you can pick up the caravanstores very cheap. I got mine for £65 so paying for the rail etc. was worth it.
Contact Stan - he truly is a man that can!

Not a bad idea at all

You could kill two birds with one stone and one lot of spend by doing that
