Hi All,

Just some advice please,

My stereo and mirrors would not work and i changed the fuse as per the advice from the forum (Thankyou)!! All worked well!!

Everthing has previously worked fine with a multi adapter plugged in for satnav and phone charging.

However !!The fuse keeps blowing as soon as i plug anything (Single or multi) into the socket??

I am hopeless when it comes to these things so would be greatful for any advice or even if anyone close to me is able to assist from my profile location.

Thanks in adavnce.

What devices exactly are you plugging in ? Check the inside of the socket has any rubbish, like metallic sweet wrappings etc been pushed inside ;-)

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for your reply,
Just using for phone charger / satnav charger etc, i have used all of these before without any problems,I have had them all on the go in the multi adapter previously but now even if i just plug one thing directly in the socket( boom!! the fuse blows :x ) i will check for any rubbish in the socket but i don't think that there is anything in there.

Well given that you say any device plugged in causes the fuse to blow suggests that it is the socket that might have the fault rather than the device. You might try to look behind the socket and see if there is anything close to the back that might be shorting out - I assume this is the front socket by the driver ?

:D Hi Geoff,

Just an update, i had a look at the back of the lighter socket today, took off the connectors messed about a bit put back together and i can know use my chargers individaully again without the fuse going (Yippee), not tried the multi adapter in yet as i need more fuses #-o !!!

Thanks for your help.
