Help Please! passenger electric window stopped working!!!

Post by Aunt Trumpet » Thu Jun 04, 2009 1:31 pm

Hi,

Our passenger side window has stopped working, I'm assuming its not the switch as it doesn't work from the drivers switch either. I've got the internal door panel off and inspected all the wires that run between the door shut just incase the door movement has caused a break but all seems fine there. I'm at a bit of a loss now as to what to look at next, any ideas?

Thanks for any help. :?

I assume you've checked that you've not inadvertently flicked the little rocker switch on the drivers side switch panel that is used to disable the passenger window from opening?

Assuming you haven't inadvertently switched the passenger side off with the switch on the driver's side, most likely is the wiring between door & body. In particular, check the bottom of the loop where it is held with a cable-tidy, as well as where it goes through the grommets. To check the wiring properly you'll have to remove the corrugated outer insulation.

Yep all you need to do now is lock yourself in the back by fiddling with the child lock on the sliding door.

Well I can't say anything cause I did the same thing and almost had the door off before the missus asked " if this little switch should be unlocked" the air was blue. :)
