Hi All,
Just about to purchase a four bike bak rak bike carrying system-question;
The "rak" requires two straps to part take the weight/stabilise the base and need to be "hooked" at the top of the rear tailgate-I have a spoiler fitted (factory fitted) and need to know will this allow the straps to hook on (there is a gap to allow straps to pass under) without putting stresses on the spoiler when attached to the base of the rak itself.

Anyone got one?

Cheers
Tim

what sort of rack are you fitting :?: Depending on model it will vary the angle of the straps.

Hello 'archer'. :) I don't know if you can access the members area, but if you don't get any help, there's a factsheeet in there with lots of advice on bike racks.

Thanks both,
The rack is a "B4 Bak Rak with extender" and it looks like the thing will fit now,following a little experimentatation ie. strip off the straps from an old bike carrier, pass them through the spoiler gap, then hang myself off it at different angles (looking like Sir Edmund Hillary on Everest!). I may have been the first to invent BONGO-ABSEILING!
The fact sheets recommended the bak-rak but even after contacting the supplier Pete, he was unsure of the 4 bike set up.
I will post the findings one way or another.
Cheers
Tim
