Bongo Fury

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to get the trim panel off below:



The seat belt is no longer there, neither is the grab handle due to a camper conversion.

It seems very firmly on there, the lower panel is easier to remove but I also need to get this panel off, scared if I pull too hard something will break.

Just yank it off , if the seat belt clamp and grab handles are off it should just pop off they are only held on with push clips (well they should be anyhow) unless someones had yours off in the past and stuck it on some other way

but when you come to take off the bottom panel take out the cubby box thing first, 2 screws i think

did mine yesterday to get at blinds,as long as you are sure that the grab handle srews etc have all been removed and there is nothing else securing then as said all that is securing little metal clips,just watch out for them as they tend to fly off!
start at one corner at a time is my advice..and watch out when you get to the part where the panels overlap at the top,they are linked into each other and need a bit of persuasion to free at this point.
all in all an easy job so go for it.

And that's where the metal spring clip is that flies off, if you can get your fingers in behind to hold it / catch it its a good idea!

You should be able to feel where the clips are due to the panel not comming away when you pull at it a bit.
The plastic van be quite fragile - particularly when cold. I find it best to put fingers behind the panel near the clipped part, preferably either side and give a short sharp tug - if you pull too far you may put pressure on the next clip, but being further away - this is where its most likely to snap. Try to pull each clip individually.

I'll give it a go when I have some spare time at the weekend. I've taken many panels off for various reasons, but this one does seem so very tight I was scared to try harder in fear of snapping something. I either use fingers or a mini crowbar to put pressure nearest the clips to reduce the chance of breaking something.
