Trying to clear airlock in cooling system

Hubby says: I've followed procedure in the manual but bottom hose still not getting warm. Any suggestions please?

Water coming out is very rusty so we suspect there's been an airlock for a while ... hence why it's been losing water and the heater stopped working.

My next step would be to try RadFlush....?? good idea or not."

I think you need a specialist to look at it

I could be so many things from a stuck thermostat to blockage or waterpump to head gasket or head or even pinprick hole in pipes.

If its losing coolant thats not good.

Don't drive it untill it is properly fixed by a Bongo recommended garage. Could cost a lot if this is not done.

Sorted.

Hubby bled it a different way and now it seems a happy bunny again.

Nice one, it's not a quick job, keep a really close eye on the level over the next few days, just in case there's still a bit of air in there & the level drops a bit, even better, get a coolant, TM2 or Mason alarm fitted if you haven't already.

You also need to keep checking that the head is free of air via the bleed pipe under the passenger seat.
