Our bongo seemes to have developed a strange noise when we get to around 50mph. Sounds like wind noise which disappears when we get to around 65mph. Not sure where it is coming from seemes to transmit through van body. Could it be the uneven front tyre wear.

I'd have thought tyre wear would give you vibration too?
check the door seals, sometimes the door kinda pulls out a bit at the top.
I had a windy noise which I finally tracked down to the wind deflector on the passenger side door coming unstuck on the leading edge, bit of superglue - sorted.

have you checked the black plastic cover in the arches or the mud flap?, could be flapping if a clip has come out or broken, I started to get a loud noise at 40 and above on my latest camping trip last friday to hill of oaks meet, figured out what it was when i had a good old nosey, turned out the plastic had folded up somehow and was rubbing on the tyre which has melted with the friction

, Try swapping the wheels around to see if the noise changes from one side to another, then you will know if its the tyre at fault

Are you familiar with axle whine? Quite distinctive, tho' it usually continues at higher speeds once it begins.
Worth checking rear axle oil level?

It was the tyres. New tyres noise gone!
