Rear Ciggie Lighter Fitting Missing- Is it worth replacing?

After a year's Bongo ownership I am finally getting a leisure battery. To go with it I would like some source of power at the back of the van.
I have none at present as my rear ciggie lighter fitting is missing. Completly, not just the bit that lights your cig. All that is there is a metal tube with a solid plastic cap. Nothing to plug anything in to. Either never installed or removed very determinedly. Took me six months to realise it even should have been there.
Given that the wiring may be absent or damaged, any ideas about the best way to deal with this.
I just want to be able to run a light and possibly a cool box while travelling. The van is remaining unconverted so I am not adding a mains hook up.
Given the ingenuity and ability of everyone here I am sure I will get the answer very quickly.
Thanks
