Bongo Fury

Hi Guys


Ive posted a few questions about this, and in the end put it into 2 garages where
both of them say, we can hear the noise, and we pretty sure it's bearings but cant locate
exactly what ones need replacing................

Surely there's a solution to isolate the fault


Really need you guys on this

its front left wheel making a groaning noise when you turn left at speed, but does make a lesser noise when driven straight

Is that the wheel bearings? Ive changed plenty on my landrover, however I don't need a press to take them out or put them back.

If the Bongo wheeling bearing don't need a press, do it yourself and change the lot.

Are Bongo wheel bearings pressed in??

The only time I've had a wheel bearing go (not on the Bongo), it made a noise whichever way I turned Surely, if you jack the wheel up, you could feel the play in the bearings because the wheel will "rock". If it doesn't, I doubt if it's a wheel bearing, but haven't got a clue what it could be

CV joint?

With all the vehicles I have worked on (not just my own) , when the vehicle is raised then the wheel is turned then you can "feel" and hear bearing rumble..... I suppose on a 4wd you would need to jack up the Front/Rear axles individually to seek the worn bearing(s)........lets apply the principle for the handbrake on a 4wd....you raise all of the rear, so in theory the same applies to the front..........unless anyone knows different?......
